Brush filling machine
The invention relates to a brush tamping machine with a material box, a bundle compartment device and a tamping tool, the material box having at least one material channel for receiving a supply of loose bristle filaments and the bundle compartment device comprising a bundle compartment which is used to remove bristle bundles from the material box in a movement plane at a bundle removal point the material box is movable past.
Brush tamping machines of this type are known in practice in various embodiments.
In the case of brushes, in particular toothbrushes, bristle field designs are again and again in demand, in which asymmetrically folded bristle bundles are used which are anchored in a brush body of the brush by means of a fastening anchor. Asymmetrically folded bundles appear in the bristle field as having bristle filaments of different lengths within a bristle bundle. A wide variety of bristle filaments are processed here, including, for example, those which are chemically tapered on one side or those which differ from one another in terms of their length, thickness, geometry, cross-sectional shape and / or color. In the case of asymmetrically folded bristle bundles, it is also said that they are warped.
The production of brushes with bristle fields, in which the distortion occurs, is particularly difficult
BE2018 / 5165 changed the stuffed bristle bundle within the bristle field in a certain way, so it does not remain constant over the entire bristle field. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a brush tamping machine of the type defined in the introduction, which simplifies the production of brushes with asymmetrically folded bristle bundles and represents an alternative to the concepts known from practice.
This object is achieved in a brush tamping machine of the type mentioned by the means and features of claim 1. In particular, to achieve the object, a brush tamping machine of the type mentioned is proposed, in which the at least one material channel of the material box has a bottom and a lid, between which the loose bristle filaments can be arranged within the material channel, the bottom and the lid changing their Distance to the plane of movement of the bundle divider are adjustable.
In this way, a brush tamping machine is created in which the distortion of the bristle bundles in the bristle field of the brush to be produced can be adapted to the movement plane of the bundle compartment by changing the distance between a base and a cover of at least one material channel of the material box of the brush tamping machine. The change in the distances of the bottom and the lid to the plane of movement can, if necessary, even between the removal of two successive bundles of bristles from the
BE2018 / 5165
Loose bristle filaments are stored in the at least one material channel of the material box. In this way, the brush tamping machine according to the invention can be used to produce brushes in which the stuffed bristle bundles are folded asymmetrically in different ways and therefore have different distortions from one another. Even complex bristle fields with a distortion in the bristle bundles that changes towards the center of the bristle field can be produced comparatively easily with the brush tamping machine.
For this purpose, both the base and the lid can be arranged so as to be adjustable, at least indirectly, on a support structure of the brush tamping machine, for example on a frame or on a portal of the material box.
It can be particularly advantageous if each material channel of the brush tamping machine has an adjustable base and an adjustable cover. It can be particularly preferred here if the bottoms and / or lids of several or even all material channels of the material box can be adjusted independently of one another. In this way it is possible to hold different bristle filaments in the different material channels of the material box and to process them with the aid of the brush tamping machine. Depending on the length, the material, the design, the geometry and / or the cross section of the bristle filaments held in the individual material channels, an adjustment can then be made
BE2018 / 5165 of the respective base and lid take place in order to plug bristle bundles of different asymmetrical folds into a bristle holder for the production of a brush.
At this point it should be mentioned that the relative position of the bottom and the lid of the at least one material channel to the plane of movement of the bundle divider defines where the bundle divider detects the bristle filaments when removed from the material box and where the bundle divider acts on the removed bristle bundle.
With different settings of the distances between the lid and the bottom, on the one hand, and the plane of movement of the bundle divider, on the other hand, the bristle bundles and the bristle filaments combined therein are gripped by the bundle divider at different locations along their longitudinal extent and transferred in this orientation from the bundle divider to the downstream tamping tool of the brush tamping machine. With the aid of a plunger tongue alternately movable in the stuffing tool and a fastening anchor made of anchor wire fed to the stuffing tool, a correspondingly asymmetrical folding of the bristle bundles then takes place within the stuffing tool.
In order to be able to support the bristle bundles removed with the bundle divider on their way from the material box to the tamping tool, it can be advantageous if the brush tamping machine has a support BE2018 / 5165 area for the bristle bundles removed with the bundle divider. This support surface can be arranged between the material box and the tamping tool and can extend from below the bundle removal point to below the tamping tool. In addition, it can be advantageous if the support surface is adjustable to change its distance from the plane of movement of the bundle divider. This can preferably be done by motor and / or depending on the position of at least the bottom of the at least one material channel.
It can be particularly expedient if the support surface can be brought into a distance from the plane of movement of the bundle divider which corresponds to the distance of the adjustable bottom of a material channel from which bristle bundles are to be removed from the plane of movement of the bundle divider. So the floor and the support surface can be arranged in a common plane or be. This can simplify the removal and transfer of bristle bundles from the material box to the bundle divider. It is therefore advantageous if a distance from the support surface to the plane of movement can be set to a distance from the adjustable bottom of a material channel to the plane of movement of the bundle divider from which bristle bundles are to be removed.
The flexibility of the brush tamping machine for producing differently asymmetrically folded bristle bundles can be increased if the bottom and the lid of at least one material channel during a removal movement of the bundle compartment between the bundle removal point and a bundle delivery point at the
BE2018 / 5165
Stuffing tool of the brush tamping machine are adjustable.
An automatic adjustment can be implemented if the brush tamping machine has a drive unit for each adjustable base and for each adjustable lid and / or for one adjustable surface, for example the previously mentioned adjustable support surface. Such a drive unit can be, for example, a motor, stepper motor, servo motor and / or a hydraulic or pneumatic pressure cylinder.
At least one of the drive units mentioned above or each drive unit can be connected to a base, cover or to a support surface, for example the support surface already mentioned, via a non-rotating push rod.
In order to enable proper alignment and arrangement of the bristle filaments held in the at least one material channel, the cover of the at least one material channel can be set up for use as a so-called material tapper. In its function as a material tapper, the cover of the at least one material channel can be moved in an alternating movement in the direction of the free ends of the bristle filaments within the material channel with respect to the plane of movement of the bundle divider. This, for example, in order to be able to push back bristle filaments that protrude from the amount of filament held in the respective material channel.
BE2018 / 5165
The transition of the bristle filaments from the at least one material channel of the material box to the bundle divider can be facilitated if the at least one base and the support surface have the same radius on their end faces facing one another in the removal position, that is to say they are bent by the same radius. The end face of the at least one base can be convexly curved and at least a region of the end face of the support surface, which faces the at least one material channel in the removal position. The bottom can engage with its convexly curved end face when the material channel is in the removal position in the convexly curved end face of the support surface.
The at least one material channel can be delimited by side walls. It can be advantageous here if an end face of a side wall of the material channel facing the stuffing tool is aligned at an acute angle to a longitudinal axis of the material channel. In this way, the end face can serve as a guide surface for the bristle filaments to be removed from the material box with the bundle divider. The bundle divider is moved past this end face of the side wall, which is oriented at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the material channel. This end face can also serve as a scraper with which bristle filaments that may adhere to the end face of the bundle divider can be retained in the material channel of the material box. This can be advantageous to loose bristle filaments in other parts of the brush tamping machine
BE2018 / 5165 to avoid.
The effect of the end faces of the side walls of the material channels of the material box can be further enhanced if the edges of the end faces of the side walls of the material box facing the stuffing tool are arranged in an imaginary plane or area with the end face of the bottom of the respective material channel. Then namely the end faces of the side walls extend to a front edge of the respective bottom of the material channel.
For processing a wide variety of bristle filaments on the tamping machine according to the invention, it can be advantageous if at least some, preferably all, of the functional elements of the brush tamping machine that come into contact with bristle filaments are polished and / or coated. It is also possible that these functional elements are made of stainless steel.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the drawing. It should be noted that the invention is not restricted to this exemplary embodiment. Further exemplary embodiments result from a combination of the features of individual or a plurality of protection claims with one another and / or in or from a combination of individual or more features of the exemplary embodiment. They show in a partially highly schematic representation:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a brush manufacturing machine according to the invention
BE2018 / 5165 a material box, a bundle compartment device and a tamping tool,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the material box of the brush tamping machine shown in Fig. 1 and
3 is a perspective view of the in FIG.
and 2 illustrated material box of the brush tamping machine.
1 shows a brush tamping machine, designated as a whole by 1, with a material box 2, which is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 in further views.
The brush tamping machine 1 further comprises a bundle compartment device 3 and a tamping tool 4. The material box 2 has a total of three material channels 5 for receiving a supply of loose bristle filaments 6. Different bristle filaments 6 can be arranged in each of the material channels 5. The bristle filaments 6 held in each case in the material channels 5 can differ from one another in terms of their color, their material, their cross section, their length or also in terms of further parameters.
The bundle compartment device 3 comprises a bundle divider 7 which can be moved past a bundle removal point 8 of the material box 2 in one plane of movement. The material box 2 with its three material channels 5 can be pivoted about a pivot axis 9
BE2018 / 5165 arranged a frame 10 of the brush tamping machine.
The pivoting movement of the material box 2 is in figure
I indicated by the double arrow on the material box 2. In this way, the three different material channels 5 can be positioned by pivoting or rotating the material box 2 about its pivot axis 9 such that their open channel ends
II get to the bundle removal point 8 and bristle bundles can be removed from them. The bundle removal point 8, like the plane of movement, always remains in the same position with respect to the frame 10.
The bundle divider 7 is designed as a so-called circular arc divider and has a compartment notch 12 on a side facing the material box 2.
With this compartment notch 12, it is pivoted past an open channel end 11 of a material channel 5, which is arranged adjacent to the bundle removal point 8 (see double arrow on the bundle divider 7 in FIG. 1), in order to take out individual bristle bundles from the stock of loose bristle filaments 6. For this purpose, the bundle divider 7, which is designed as a circular arc divider, is arranged on the frame 10 of the brush tamping machine via a pivot bearing 13 and can be pivoted about the axis of the pivot bearing 13.
A bristle bundle positioned in the compartment notch 12 can be transferred from the material box 2 to the stuffing tool 4 with the aid of the bundle divider 7.
Each of the three material channels 5 has one
BE2018 / 5165
Bottom 14 and a lid 15, between which the loose bristle filaments 6 are arranged within the respective material channel 5. Both the bottoms 14 and the cover 15 of the three material channels 5 are adjustable to change their distance from the stationary movement plane in which the bundle divider 7 can be pivoted back and forth between the material box 2 and the tamping tool 4. Both the bottoms 14 and the cover 15 are each designed as adjustable plates.
The material box 2 has a portal 16 or frame as a support structure, on which both the bottoms 14 and the cover 15 of the material channels 5 are arranged so as to be adjustable in relation to the plane of movement of the bundle divider 7.
All figures show that each material channel 5 of the brush tamping machine 1 has an adjustable base 14 and cover 15. The bases 14 and the covers 15 of the material channels 5 can be adjusted independently of one another in order to be able to individually adapt the respective distance to the plane of movement of the bundle divider 7 for each material channel 5.
The brush tamping machine 1 has a support surface 17 for the bristle bundles removed from the material box 2 with the bundle divider 7. In the exemplary embodiment of the support surface 17 shown in the figures, the support surface 17 is designed as a curved support strip and is arranged below the plane of movement of the bundle divider 7 designed as a circular arc divider.
BE2018 / 5165
Like the adjustable bottoms 14 and the adjustable covers 15 of the material channels 5, the support surface 17 is also fastened to the previously described portal 16 of the material box 2. The support surface 17 is arranged between the material box 2 and the tamping tool 4 and extends from below the bundle removal point 8 to below the tamping tool 4 of the brush tamping machine. Furthermore, the support surface 17 can be adjusted to change its distance from the plane of movement of the bundle divider 7 by a motor and depending on the position or the distance of the base 14 of the material box 5 from which the bristle bundles are to be removed. With the aid of the support surface 17, bristle bundles removed from the material box 2 can be supported from below on their way from the bundle removal point 8 to the stuffing tool 4. The support surface 17 thus functions as a sliding or transport surface on which the bundles of bristles can be transported to the stuffing tool 4. For this purpose, the support surface 17 is adjusted to the level of the bottom 14 of the material channel 5 from which bundles of bristles are to be removed. So the bottom 14 of the material channel 5, from which the bristle bundles are to be removed, is arranged in a common plane with the support surface 17.
The bottom 14 and the lid 15 of each of the three material channels 5 are aligned parallel to one another and also parallel to the support surface 17. Furthermore, the bottoms 14 and also the lids 15 of the material channels 5 can be adjusted during a removal movement of the bundle compartment 7. In this way, with each removal stroke of the bundle divider 7, differently asymmetrically folded bristle bundles can be removed from the material channels 5 of the material box 2 with BeBE2018 / 5165.
The brush tamping machine has a drive unit 18 for each adjustable base 14 and for each adjustable cover 15 as well as for the adjustable support surface 17. All drive units 18 are also arranged on the portal 16 of the material box. Depending on requirements, the drive units 18 can be designed as motors, stepper motors, servomotors and / or hydraulic or pneumatic pressure cylinders or can include such.
The drive units 18 are each connected to a base 14, a cover 15 or to the support surface 17 via a non-rotating push rod 19.
The covers 15 of the three material channels 5 are also set up for use as so-called material tappers, with which bristle filaments 6 protruding from the supply of loose bristle filaments can be pressed back into the supply. With respect to the plane of movement of the bundle divider 8, the covers 15 of the material channels 5 can be moved up and down alternately for this purpose with the aid of their drive units 18.
FIG. 2 illustrates that the bottoms 14 and the support surface 17 have the same radius on their end faces 20 and 21 facing one another in the removal position, that is to say they are bent by the same radius. there
BE2018 / 5165, the end face 20 of the bottoms 14 is convexly curved, while the end face 21 of the support surface 17 is correspondingly concave. Each of the total of three material channels 5 is laterally delimited by two side walls 22. An end face 23 of a side wall 22 of the respective material channel 5 facing the stuffing tool 4 is oriented at an acute angle to a longitudinal axis of the material channel 5. Furthermore, edges 24 of the end faces 23 facing the stuffing tool 4 are arranged in an imaginary plane or surface together with the end face 20 of the bottom 14 of the material channel 5. Thus, the edges 24 extend up to the end faces 23 of the end faces 20 of the bottoms 14.
All functional elements of the brush tamping machine 1 that come into contact with bristle filaments 6 are polished and / or coated and also made of stainless steel.
1 further clarifies that the brush tamping machine 1 also has a holding stand 25 in addition to the material box 2 and the bundle compartment device 3. A brush body 26 to be clogged with bristle bundles is clamped on the holding stand 25. With the aid of the holding stand 25, the brush body 26 can be moved and positioned in a plane oriented transversely to the stopping direction of the tamping tool 4. The brush body 26 has a multiplicity of bundle holes 27 into which bundles of bristles can be plugged using the stuffing tool 4.
BE2018 / 5165
The tamping tool 4 comprises a tool slide 29 which is axially displaceable in a guide 28. In the tool slide 29, a pusher tongue 30 is axially displaceably mounted within a pusher channel 31 of the tool slide 29. The tamping tool 4 can be supplied with anchor wire 33 via a wire feed device 32. For this purpose, the anchor wire 33 is inserted laterally into the tamping tool 4 and cut into individual fastening anchors there with the aid of a wire cutting device 34.
The bristle bundle removed from the material box 2 with the bundle divider 7 is transferred to the tamping tool 4 and anchored with the aid of the tool slide 29 and the pusher tongue 30 which is axially displaceable in the pusher channel 31 together with the fastening anchor in a bundle hole 27 of the brush body 26 held ready on the holding stand 25 , For this purpose, the tool slide 29 and the ram tongue 30 are moved in the direction of the holding stand 25. The working movement of the tool slide 29 and the ram tongue 30 are illustrated by the double arrow on the tool slide 29 in FIG. 1.
The end faces 23 of the side walls 22 of the material channels 5 are each provided with a guide groove 35. By means of these guide grooves 35, the bundle divider 7 is pivoted during its removal movement. The plane of movement of the bundle divider 7 thus runs through the guide grooves 35 of the side walls 22 of the material channels 5.
BE2018 / 5165
The invention is concerned with improvements in the technical field of brush tamping machines. For this purpose, the brush tamping machine 1 is proposed, which has the material box 2 with at least one material channel 5. The material channel 5 has the base 14 and the cover 15, both the base 14 and the cover 15 with respect to their distance from a plane of movement in which the bundle divider 7 of the brush tamping machine 1 can be moved between the material box 2 and the tamping tool 4, are adjustable. The aim of this is to transfer bristle bundles which are to be folded asymmetrically in a particularly simple and reliable manner to the tamping tool 4 for anchoring in a brush body provided.
